(Joshua 3:4b)
Are you in a rut?

A surprisingly large number of people year after year maintain a set daily routine and never give a thought to changing the pattern.
The tragedy of this situation is that appreciation of beauty slowly fades.
When you no longer expect anything unusual to happen
you become afraid to attempt any new venture,
the challenge of the unknown no longer stimulates your thinking
and eventually life loses all purpose and meaning.
If you would retain an interest in life avoid monotony.
Modern living somewhat encourages monotony,
but if you live a committed Christian life that is dedicated to God
and to the service of your fellowmen,
all of life becomes alive with interest and an appreciation of the unusual!
There can be no monotony when you are guided by God's Holy Spirit,
and realize your own uniqueness.

The assurance that you are of infinite worth to God gives you self respect
and helps you to face the future with confidence.
Such confidence, which is God's gift, makes you alert to fresh opportunities.
and helps you to face the future with confidence.
Such confidence, which is God's gift, makes you alert to fresh opportunities.
All of life becomes a workshop where you can serve God, and though many of the tasks waiting to be done may seem new and unfamiliar, you attempt to do them in the wisdom and strength of your Divine Father.
Never again do you find life monotonous.
The Cross is the Only Ladder High Enougfh to Reach Heaven
Help me, O Lord, to overcome all the monotony in my life by dedicating myself to You, and obeying Your Commands.

this is a beautiful post - beautiful...
Great post, as always! I enjoy your music, too.
I had a sunday school teacher once that wrote a EXPECT on the chalk board one Sunday morning..... It was written in huge letters that reached across the entire board..... Her entire lesson was on expecting great things from God... I never forgot that lesson and most morning when I wake... I expect........
