A Grandson Is So Many Things

Little Boy Riding His Bicycle with Helmet by David Davis

A grandson, when he's little,
is a whirlwind of delight,
with endless energy all day
and trusting prayers at night.

That's only the beginning
as he makes the world his own
with personality and style
that's his and his alone.

The knowledge he acquires,
the lessons that he learns,
the faith that he embraces,
the deep respect he earns--

all these are lifelong values
for whatever he may face,
a source of inspiration
and expressions of God's grace

Happy Birthday to Reid

Who has created so many happy memories
and so much hope for the future.

We Love You,
Grammie and Papaw

What a perfect poem for Reid, Mom. He does indeed place the stamp of his own style upon the world. He's a good young man.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday to your grandson! a little late! :)
I noticed your signature and had to tell you that we are now officially "Mimi(Grammie) and Bubba (Papa)". We get quite a laugh out of this! Funny what your grandchildren name you.
I'm especially fond of my little grandson and the picture at the top of your post reminds me of him so much this morning. They're on the way back from a funeral in Pennsylvania, and I have missed him sooo...(and his mama and daddy, too);o)
Have a blessed week!
