The Perfect Gift!

Christmas Gift with Gold Ribbon and Pinecones by Eric Kamp

You would like to receive The Perfect Gift...
You would like to give The Perfect Gift..

You read the ads; you page through the catalogs.
Unfortunately, there is no perfect gift--at least not in any store.

There is a gift that gives more happiness than any other gift.
It is a gift that endures through the worst of times.
It is a gift that has meaning for every age and in every situation.

This gift is a personal relationship with Jesus, the only Son of God.

  • This gift is free because Jesus paid the price to offer us this relationship.
Isaiah 53:5 says of Jesus: "He was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed."

  • This gift is the reason Christmas is celebrated.
If you know Jesus, telling others about Him is the greatest gift you can give them.

If you do not know Jesus, take a few minutes in this busy season to think about the perfect gift -- a personal relationship with Jesus.

Jesus loves you and cares about you. "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

Jesus wants a personal relationship with you.
You can have this relationship by confessing your sins, turning from your selfish way and asking Jesus to come into your life.

He never turns away those who seek him.

But don't stop with knowing about Jesus. Ask him into your life.

Tell others about Him..He is the perfect gift.

Thank you for this wonderful post, Mimi! It is so true!
It is no gift like the gift God gave us in Jesus Christ. He came to save each human being.
This gift is eternal.

Merry Christmas to you, Mimi!
I enjoyed visiting your blog today. I'm also a 'Mimi' to my 3 grandchildren, but 'Susan' to everyone else. We had the same idea about picturing a gift beautifully wrapped, & talking about 'the Greatest Gift!' (but I like your post better than mine!)
Blessings, Susan
