The Doubter's Prayer

Eternal power, of earth and air!
Unseen, yet seen in all around;
Storm Clouds Over Mountains and Trees, Grand Teton National Park, USA by Carol Polich
Storm Clouds Over Mountains and Trees, Grand Teton National Park, USA

Remote, but swelling everywhere;
Though silent heard in every sound;

If e'er thine ear in Mercy lent,
When wretched mortals cried to Thee,
And if indeed, Thy Son was sent,
To save lost sinners such as me:

Then hear me now, while kneeling here,
I lift to Thee my heart and eye,
Child Kneels in Prayer at Its Mother's Knee
Child Kneels in Prayer at Its Mother's Knee
And all my soul ascends in prayer,
Oh, give me--Give me Faith! I cry.

While Faith is with me, I am blest;
It turns my darkest night to day;
But while I clasp it to my breast,
I often feel it slide away.

Mimi, I am going to copy this poem down. I know about Charlotte and Emily Bronte, but I didn't know they had a sister named Anne! This is beautiful - I've never heard it before.

a wonderful prayer, and I suspect many of us have whispered just such a prayer, in more simple words when we have had doubts.

Mimi,

A lovely poem and the graphics are beautiful.

To answer your question on my autism post - yes, we believe that Brandon's Asperger's Syndrome is connected to his one year vaccination, the one for Measles, Mumps and Rebella, that is termed the MMR vacination.

Thanks for asking. I will be posting other articles about autism and Asperger's Syndrome this month.

Enjoyed visiting with you, as always.

Blessings,
Mary

Good Evening Mimi,
This is such a beautiful poem. I've never heard of Charlotte and Emily Bonte before. "THANK YOU" so much for sharing this poem with us. Just to let you know that my DH called me this morning around 10:15a.m. and they were moving again. I talked to him again around 12:30p.m. and he was fixing to cross over into Utah. I am hoping they are now around North Las Vegas. He will call me again after while. I do appreciate your prayers for my DH and his Uncle. I worry about him out on the road all the time. He is a good driver, but it's the other people you have to be worried about. Some people have no respect for the other driver out on the road. I have done some laundry this afternoon and made some Tuna Fish for our supper tonight. Me and the girls really like Tuna Fish. Our oldest daughter isn't having their game tonight. I'm glad because I knew it would be too wet. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
