Hide Me in Your Safety Harbor

The sea of life is often stormy,
perils rise on every side,
unless you're anchored to the Saviour
there is no place to hide.
In the midst of rolling thunder
precious Lord hear my cry,
hide me in your Safety Harbor
until the storm passes by.

Don't forget weary seaman,
the storms not here to do you harm,
it is here to make you stronger
in the quiet of the calm.
So keep your eyes upon Jesus,
the guiding light of all the years,
and He will guide you safely over
to where the storms never near.

When the billows have subsided,
and the sea is calm again,
don't forget the Savior held you
in the palm of His hand.
So tell the world of your experience,
and pray they'll understand,
The Saviour's love will lead them to Him,
If they will yield to His command.

Until the storm passes over,
until the sea billows die,
Hide me in your safety harbor
until the storm passes by.

There is a small quaint town near where we live called "Safety Harbor".

My husband, inspired by the name of the town, wrote this song.
I just wish I had the capability of putting the music on here as well..
He sings it with very soft guitar music...

Blessings, Mimi

Thanks Mimi, I needed to read this today. Thank you, too, for your comforting words. I really am blessed to have this many years. :o)
I've just heard that I need to go for an MRI, as last week's tests were not conclusive. Thank you so much for adding me to your prayer journal. It means more to me than you know.

beautiful song..... he is very talented...... It reminds me of the song The Anchor Holds" by Ray Boltz....... it is one of my favorite. We all need to be reminded that even in the storm He is holding fast....

Good Afternoon Mimi,
"THANK YOU" so much for the Anniversary and Birthday wishes you left for me. I do appreciate them both very much. I love the words to this song. I bet your husband sounds wonderful singing it with his guitar. I do love to hear my DH singing and playing his guitar. I've tried talking him into playing at our annual 4th of July celebration we have here in our town, but he says he only does it for me and the girls. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

God sends inspiration in various ways, doesn't He? Safety rather than safe...I like it.
