A Christmas Prayer

God, make us aware
that in Thy name
The Holy Christ Child
humble came
To live on earth
and leave behind
New faith and hope
for all mankind--
And make us aware
that the Christmas story
Is everyone's promise
of eternal glory

I love that picture, and the words are very comforting today. This year Christmas will be different for us as a family, but also the same, in that we celebrate the birth of our Savior. It will be a time of celebration and reflection. I'm so grateful for the promise of eternal glory.
Thank you so much for your sweet comments the past few days. They have meant so much to us, and we've truly felt the prayers lifted up on our behalf.
Blessings and Merry Christmas,
Karen

I love Helen Steiner Rice. I have a poem book of hers that my Grandmother gave me quite a few years ago now. Just the name reminds me of Grandma...
