For Simon it was just a hunk of wood.

and the man Simon helped was the world's Savior.

Christians must shoulder it when they suffer loss for Christ's sake--
enduring a dread disease, losing a friend or a job,
remaining chaste while unmarried, and a thousand more.

the cross ... so despised by the world ... but without the cross, where would we be ...
i have to admit i don't carry my cross with joy all the time ... i hope that i can learn to do that - as i mature & grow in Him ...
