Beauties from the Hand of God

The Red Cliffs of Prince Edward Island at Sunset Glow, Prince Edward Island, Canada by Taylor S. Kennedy
The Red Cliffs of Prince Edward Island at Sunset Glow, Prince Edward Island, Canada

I've never been to the edge of the world
Where the sea and the sky are wed,
But perhaps one day -- I know not when --
So along life's journey I'll tread.

And along the way I'll enjoy the scenes
As they are brought into my view;
I'll gaze at the sky on a starry night
And on the rose touch the morning dew.

View of a wooded hillside in the state park by Bill Curtsinger
View of a wooded hillside in the state park

Have you watched the moon as it made its way
As it walked through the wooded night,
Or morning glories climb the garden wall
In the early morning light?
Cherry Blossoms in the Rain
Cherry Blossoms in the Rain

Have you ever heard the feet of the rain
As they trudged along through the vale,
Or have you watched bluebonnets march
In a massive parade in the dale?

I've enjoyed those scenes and many more
As my journey on earth I've trod;
A few of the beauties came my way
Directly from the hand of God!

Charm and beauty delight the eye,
but better than either,
the flowers of the field
see the beauty around you

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above ... James 1:17

When we see the beauty of God's creation, doesn't it make you wonder just how incredibly beautiful Heaven will be?

A lovely poem, Mimi ~
I am so much more aware of God's beauty all around, since I got my camera, it sees. I'm always wanting to take a picture. :o)
