White Fields

Winter Morning Light on Eagle Harbour Lighthouse on Lake Superior, Michigan, USA by Willard Clay
Winter Morning Light on Eagle Harbour Lighthouse on Lake Superior, Michigan, USA
I

In the winter time we go
Walking in the fields of snow;

Where there is no grass at all;
Where the top of every wall,

Every fence and every tree,
Is as white as white can be.

II

Pointing out the way we came,
--Every one of them the same--

All across the field there be
Prints in silver filigree;

Footprints in Snow by Fogstock Llc

And our mothers always know,
By the footprint in the snow,

Where it is the children go.

Good Morning Mimi,
I love your new Header and all that you have done on here. I love the Snowy pictures especially the first one with the Lighthouse. It is just breathtaking. The poetry goes so well with the pictures. "THANK YOU" for sharing it with us. Is the Snow with the footprints in the Snow where you live at? Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.
